What this House is

A living archive,
told through image.

The House of Honors is an ongoing photographic tribute series created and portrayed by Dee Jiles. In every gallery, Dee portrays a Black or Brown LGBTQ+ icon through an original editorial interpretation of their image, style, and cultural impact. These portraits are acts of remembrance, honoring the beauty, artistry, audacity, survival, and influence of the people who built the culture we know today. Each honoree receives a permanent gallery so their legacy is seen, named, and remembered.
